Christmas party on 4 December 2024

As part of this year's Christmas celebrations, we made our way to Abensberg. The transformation of the town into a magical, festive and light-filled Christmas town at Christmas time is not limited to the town itself; the numerous Christmas markets also contribute to the festive atmosphere. We visited the 'Kuchlbauers Turmweihnacht' Christmas market, which offers visitors an atmospheric setting around the brewery and the iconic Hundertwasser Tower (a highlight in the run-up to Christmas). The Christmas market will feature a number of special exhibitors, including a nativity scene workshop, a wood carver, a hop jewellery maker and a calligrapher. To conclude the day's activities, we proceeded to the 'Zum Kuchlbauer' brewery inn, where we enjoyed a convivial evening.

We were gratified to have the participation of all our external doctoral students, as well as our external lecturers and alumni, at this year's Christmas party.
