We are pleased to announce that Dr. Svea Holtmann has been awarded the Economic Award for Dissertations of the German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) for Dissertations for her doctoral thesis, written at the WFI. The prize was presented for the first time at the '75 Years of the BMF' ceremony in mid-September by the then Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner. In her prize-winning thesis, Dr. Svea Holtmann addresses the question of how tax policy can contribute to the achievement of specific sustainability goals.
Dr. Holtmann is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim, specialising in Accounting & Taxation. At the moment, she is also a visiting scholar at Stanford University in the USA.
