As part of the event, students were given an insight into the practical implementation of the newly introduced global minimum tax regulations. At the beginning, some theoretical aspects of tax accounting and global minimum taxation were briefly discussed, followed by a closer look at the practical implementation. Mr Günther Hüttinger and his team develop software-based solutions to support customers in calculating, recording and complying with the Global Minimum Tax. Many practical examples were used to illustrate the challenges involved in creating such software, the legal requirements and implementation and monitoring. Beyond the purely theoretical aspects, the students were able to gain new and innovative insights into tax consultancy. A joint lunch at the end of the day provided an opportunity for dialogue and networking.
