Julian Fischer Receives the GOR Bachelor Award 2026

Julian Fischer has been awarded the GOR Bachelor Award 2026, presented by the German Operations Research Society (GOR) to students with outstanding achievements in Operations Research.

In his bachelor's thesis, “The Traffic Assignment Problem: A Comparison of Iterative and Linear Programming Methods for User Equilibrium and System Optimum,” supervised by Dennis John at our chair, Julian investigated different optimization approaches to traffic assignment, comparing iterative and linear programming methods for determining user equilibrium and system-optimal traffic flows.

We warmly congratulate Julian on this achievement and are delighted that he is continuing his studies in the Master's program in Business Analytics & Operations Research (BAOR)!
