Logistics at its limits: Challenges and proposals for action to cope with peak times

Food retailers are confronted with a sales increase of up to 50 percent compared to standard weeks in the holiday business. The logistical challenges that arise in order picking, store delivery and stock placement, among other things, as well as proposals for action to overcome these problems are now highlighted in a new study. In addition to Prof. Dr. Heinrich Kuhn, the team of authors includes two researchers from Geisenheim University, Prof. Dr. Andreas Holzapfel and Elisabeth Obermair.
