Of more than 1,300 KU graduates who participated in this survey over 75 per cent stated that they were very satisfied with the advice and support during their studies. The overall Bavarian average of all participants who stated to be very satisfied was significantly lower with only 58 per cent. More than 76 per cent of KU graduates said they would recommend studying at the KU, while at other universities only 66 per cent of the graduates would do so. Overall, 78 per cent of the participating KU graduates were very satisfied with their studies (the Bavarian average was just under 71 per cent). In particular, questioned graduates praised that the KU offers an excellent range of opportunities for obtaining core skills (65 per cent compared to the overall average of 53 per cent) and stated that the KU is very good in establishing close links between theory and practice (49 per cent compared to only 35 per cent at other universities). Furthermore, over 45 per cent of the participants made use of the KU’s diverse opportunities offered for taking a semester abroad; the figure of students taking a stay abroad for Bavaria as a whole amounted to only one third of the graduates.
The results of the Bavarian graduate survey have reconfirmed the above-average results which the KU regularly achieves in other surveys such as the Study Quality Monitor or the CHE ranking.
