KU is ranked as one of the most popular Universities in Germany

In the most recent ranking "Most Popular Universities 2019 in Germany" of the portal Studycheck.de, KU is among the ten best rated universities and ranks eighth nationwide. In terms of Bavarian universities, it even ranks first. The Studycheck.de portal, which was launched in 2013, offers students and graduates the opportunity to evaluate their universities and publish reports on their experiences. They can award a maximum of five stars to their universities and colleges and decide whether they would recommend an institution of higher education to others.

According to Studycheck, a total of over 42,000 students gave their assessment of their studies last year. The votes received in 2018 were decisive for the current ranking. Since the portal was launched, KU has received more than 520 evaluations, of which 93 percent recommend studying at the Catholic University and award an average of four out of five possible stars.

The Studycheck ranking is in line with other surveys that have regularly confirmed KU's excellent reputation among students and alumni for years. Last year, for example, more than 1,300 former students took part in the Bavarian Graduate Study, for which the Bavarian State Institute for Higher Education Research and Planning surveyed more than 25,000 alumni. In retrospect, 75 percent of those surveyed were very satisfied with the advice and support they received during their studies at KU, while on average only 58 percent of those surveyed said they were. In addition, they praised the fact that the acquisition of key competencies is successful at the KU and that the link between theory and practice is well designed.
