Prof. Matta leads AACSB Accreditation in his Role as Dean for Internationalization

We’re Small. We Consistently Outperform. And now we’re AACSB accredited.

WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) is proud to join the list ofAACSB accredited business schools – a distinction held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide. For us, this is a recognition of WFI’s mission-driven culture, our unshakeable purpose, and the quality of our education where every student feels valued.

Welcome, We Are WFI.
We are a small business school and a tight-knit community with an enviable 11:1 student-to-instructor ratio. But what defines us is not size. It’s focus. We are intentionally personal, academically rigorous, and internationally connected. We combine a strong community, embodied in our “WFI Spirit,” with high expectations of ourselves and of the education we provide. And we consistently deliver outcomes that exceed what our size would predict. Take for instance, this year’sstudyCheck 2026 award, which yet again awarded our university the title of “Germany’s Favorite University,” as ranked by our students and alumni.

Business and Economics Oriented Toward People.
Our mission is clear: business and economics oriented toward people. We educate and develop responsible individuals with a global mindset, and we translate excellent research and teaching into sustainable, ethically responsible action in companies, the economy, and society.

We engage with our internal and external stakeholders, driving innovation in curricula, student experiences, research, and societal impact. Our AACSB accreditation strengthens this trajectory. It reinforces our commitment to global quality standards, assurance of learning, and continuous improvement.

Gratitude to our WFI Family.
This milestone is a moment to pause, briefly, and then raise the bar again. To our university leadership team, faculty and staff: thank you for the unwavering support and the collaborative teamwork. To our students: thank you for being our motivation to keep pushing further and higher. To our alumni: thank you for always keeping the WFI Spirit high, wherever you are. To our partners and collaborators: thank you for your continued support and trust as we keep aiming higher.

And to everyone reading this - prospective students, recruiters, partner universities, research scholars, and collaborators: we invite you to be part of our WFI story. Together, let’s shape human-centered, values-driven, and globally connected business education.
