The books and their former owners

The following list contains the names of the books from Sulzbürg that can be found in our University Library, arranged by book numbers.
A list with all handwirtten entries can be found here.

For the printed volumes, the entries are composed of the book number, the short title, the place of publishing and the year. If known, the owner’s name is also in the list, as well as any entries in the book indicating the dates and names of owners.
In the case of hand-written manuscripts, the entry consists of the book number, a descriptive title, the place and date of origin or the period of time in which the text was written.

To each title we have added a link, leading to the respective record in the electronic catalog (OPAC). From the catalog record, users can access the full text in digital form. The names of the owners are provided with a link to the page on which the name entry is located.

Note:
Due to the missing title page, precise information on place and year of origin cannot be provided in a number of cases. Square brackets contain any piece of information that we have deduced or otherwise construed. The abbreviation “s.l.” (sine loco) is used in the German entry, “no place given” in the English entry in cases where we were unable to find any clues as to the place of publication.
The parchment rolls (Cod. sm 468 and 469) have not been digitized.
