If you are interested, you can rent a canoe at the sports office for a date of your choice (please call in advance: +49 8421/9321756). The costs listed below must be paid in advance in cash. The sports office will also tell you when you can pick up and return the boat, including the necessary equipment (paddles, buoyancy aids, barrels if required). Due to nature conservation regulations, it is only permitted to paddle with the current, not against it. The KU does not offer a boat transport service. Transportation from the KU storage location to the water and back is the responsibility of the person borrowing the boat.

The following boats are available:

• 2x single-seater kayaks // Deposit: ID or €50.00 // Fee per day €10.00 // Fee for weekend €15.00
• 2x two-three-seater Canadian canoes // Deposit: ID card or €50.00 // Fee per day €15.00 // Fee for weekend €25.00

Costs and models

Liability:

The KU, the University Sports Center, and its employees accept no liability. A liability waiver must be confirmed in writing by the respective user before taking the boat with them. It is recommended that you take out private liability insurance.

The University draws particular attention to the sport-specific precautions and safety aspects. These can be found in detail on the Internet at

Please note that there is no insurance cover here, as this is not an official University Sports course.
