At the Future Campus at the Georgianum in Ingolstadt, research into social transformation processes is a central focus. With its University-wide Sustainability Cluster, the KU has created an interdisciplinary platform that links research, teaching practice, and knowledge transfer. Findings from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences are pooled systematically to better understand complex human-environment relationships in the Anthropocene. By consolidating research activities at the Ingolstadt and Eichstätt campuses, the KU aims to expand its participation in relevant national and international research programs and sustainability networks, increase the visibility of sustainability-related research at the KU, and actively shape the scientific and societal discourse on sustainable development.
