Benedict Bazyar-Gudrich is a research associate at the Chair of Flight and Migration Research since April 2021. Previously, he was involved in the sub-project “The media perception of Islam – between threat and criticism”, which is also based at the Chair. He is mainly involved in qualitative social research on anti-Muslim racism and media representations of Islam, colonial history (esp. German colonial history, cultural history of colonialism), postcolonial theory as well as racism research. He has been assigned as a lecturer to teach in Sociology as well as the Master’s program in Flight, Migration, Society since the 2021 summer semester.
