• Jewish history in Bavaria during the early modern period
• History of the early modern empire with a special focus on imperial jurisdiction (see the homepage of the Reichsgerichtsbarkeit network)
• The image of the emperor in early modern society
• Archival and intellectual history as well as communication and media history of the early modern period
• Infrastructure history/travel in the pre-modern era
