Language requirements

Studierende im Gespräch

The following applies to all Bachelor's degree programs: You must prove that your German language proficiency is at least C1 (DSH, TestDaF or Goethe-Institut) you can find more detailed information here. If you do not yet have this knowledge at the time of application, but otherwise meet the admission requirements, you can be admitted to the DSH intensive course before commencing your studies. The minimum requirement for participation in this course is German A2, proven by an entrance test.

For some Master's programs, other language requirements apply (e.g. knowledge of English, less strict language requirements for German but knowledge of other language). For detailed information have a look at the respective degree program.
If you are applying for a Master's program with restricted admission, you must prove the language requirements already at the time of application, i.e. previous participation in a DSH course is not possible for Master's programs with restricted admission.
