Deadlines

Winter semester and academic year: nomination by May 15, student application by June 1

Summer semester: nomination by November 15, student application by December 1

Nomination

Partner universities may nominate their outgoing students within the deadlines stated above.

Free Movers are requested to contact us at incoming(at)ku.de by the nomination deadlines stated above.

Application

Following nomination, all Exchange Students and Free Movers will receive a welcome e-mail. Applications are then submitted through our online platform, Mobility Online.

Language Requirements

• min. German B1 for attending German-taught courses
• min. English B2 for attending English-taught courses
• min. German A2 for attending German language classes offered by the Language Center

Any type of official language certificate is accepted (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, certificate issued by home university). You can also ask your German or English lecturer to complete, sign and stamp this template.
