The Erasmus+ STA funding line is available to all KU lecturers who would like to spend teaching stays abroad at Erasmus+ partner universities of the KU. In the following, you will find important information on funding and application. If you have any further questions, please contact the International Office (see below for contact details).
Staff mobility must be implemented in a country that is part of the program and that is not the country of the sending institution (i.e. not in Germany) and not the main country of residence of the person concerned.
All Erasmus+ partner universities of the KU which have agreed on an Inter-Institutional Agreement in the respective subject are eligible as target universities. You can research here at which university you are eligible for Erasmus+ funding.
The Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) is the prerequisite for funding. The IIA regulates all mobility schemes and subject areas. If no such agreement was concluded for your University yet, it can be agreed within a relatively short period of time and after consultation with the dean of your faculty – provided that the partner university agrees.
The teaching staff mobility program must comprise at least eight course hours for one week (or shorter). The minimum duration of a stay is 2 days and must be proven by a confirmation of the stay.
It is also possible to combine teaching mobility with a mobility program for continuing education purposes. In this case, you only have to provide proof of four course hours.
The Erasmus+ mobility grant includes travel and accommodation costs, which are subsidized by the EU KOM / NA DAAD as unit costs.
The unit costs for the journey are calculated using the Distance Calculator.
The place of departure is always the respective place of employment (Eichstätt or Ingolstadt).
Simple distance in accordance with Distance Calculator = amount (unit costs) per participant (= outward and return journey):
< 100 km = EUR 20.00
100 - 499 km = EUR 180.00
500 - 1,999 km = EUR 275.00
2,000 - 2,999 km = EUR 360.00
3,000 - 3,999 km = EUR 530.00
4,000 - 7,999 km = EUR 820.00
8,000 km and more = EUR 1,100.00
Accommodation costs are calculated based on daily rates. The person's mobility program must show that activities related to the mobility measure actually took place on the days that are to be supported.
Proof can be provided in the form of a confirmation issued by the host university at the end of the stay stating the beginning and end of the stay (business affairs) including the number of hours worked.
The minimum duration is 2 working days.

As a further supporting measure of the internationalization strategies of higher education institutions, the Erasmus+ STT funding line provides support for professional development and continuing education measures for university staff (teaching practice and administration) at European universities and at foreign institutions/companies within the Erasmus area. The stays abroad must last at least two days.
The STT program offers support for university staff from all areas, including but not limited to:
Special consideration is given to the fields of administration/coordination of international degree programs and the areas of general administration particularly affected by this, the promotion of the internationalization strategy and the exchange of "know-how" in the field of documentation and information.
In addition to individually agreed professional development and continuing education measures, many universities offer so-called "Staff Weeks" as specific programs for different target groups and areas of work. An overview of current offers can be found IMOTION Erasmus Staff Training.
