In the domain of "Modern Languages", the language courses of the Language Center are usually compulsory modules or compulsory optional modules. The main focus here is the teaching degree (Lehramt). We offer language courses and cultural studies.

The following languages are part of the domain of "Modern Languages":

English, French, Italian, Spanish

 

 

Modern language courses are an integral part of the following courses of studies:

  • LehramtPlus and dual degree BA programs
  • BA Latin America Studies
  • European Studies "Language, Literature, Culture" (BA and MA)
  • Integrated German-French Political Science program (BA and MA)
  • BA Journalism
  • Flexible Bachelor’s and Flexible Master’s degree programs

The courses which are open to students of all faculties are targeted to those who wish to acquire university level foreign language abilities, require foreign language skills for their studies, and/or wish to prepare themselves for a stay abroad (e.g. a university exchange program, internship, international project, etc.). These courses are also intended for other students, such as those wishing to work overseas in the future or who will be working closely with international companies or institutions.

The Language Center offers students of all faculties the following languages:  Arabic, German as a foreign language, Czech, English, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.

The language centre at the Catholic University of Eichstätt is responsible for providing all regular foreign language courses within the faculty of Economic Science. The courses offered include German courses for our international students, a TOEFL-preparation course and the preparatory courses in Spanish.

 

1. German courses for ERASMUS and international program students

Target group: Foreign students who are studying for one or two semesters at the KU (Ingolstadt campus).
