Christmas Break

The University Library will be closed from 24 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

On 5 January 2026, the Main Library and the Branch Library Ingolstadt will be open until 5 p.m. The departmental libraries Ulmer Hof and Aula will remain closed. On this day, only emergency services will be available, i.e. the reading rooms will be open, but no other services will be provided.

On 6 January 2026 (Epiphany), the University Library will be closed.

From 7 to 10 January 2026, the Main Library will be open until 8 p.m. during the week and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The Branch Library Ingolstadt will be open until 6 p.m. during the week and will be closed on Saturday. The departmental libraries Ulmer Hof and Aula will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday only until 5 p.m. and closed on Saturday.

On 22 and 23 December, the Branch Library Ingolstadt will be open until 6 p.m., the Main Library until 8 p.m. and the departmental libraries Ulmer Hof and Aula until 7 p.m.

If you need books over the Christmas break, please remember to borrow them in good time. Please note:

If possible, order books from the ZB magazine by 17 December 2025 so that we can have them ready for you to pick up in time.

Orders from our branch libraries and the Rebdorf external magazine may take up to a week. Books from all reading rooms can be taken from the locations themselves and borrowed immediately.

The closing days or shortened opening days of the University Library are not counted towards the loan period. The loan period ends on 13 January 2026 at the earliest. In your user account in OPAC, you can view the deadlines for the timely return of your borrowed titles or extend the loan period.
