The Department's research focuses primarily on the development of digital teaching and learning applications. Digital applications are not only regarded as media tools to support teaching and learning processes, but also as important learning content for building skills in business-related subjects.
In this context, the question arises, for example, how technical and work-related developments can be made tangible and can be experienced in educational processes. Starting points are offered by the use of computer-assisted simulations, hands-on models, robotics systems, or graphical programming environments. In addition to pre-vocational interest exploration and self-diagnosis, the use of such systems can help students develop media literacy and computational thinking.
