Since 2015, Daniel Mark Eberhard has been working as Professor of Music Education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. After having worked as a teacher at different schools and as a lecturer and research associate in the higher education sector, he became temporary professor at the University of Augsburg and visiting professor of music education at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). He is the author of more than 250 specialist publications and an internationally renowned speaker in the field of music teacher training and different areas of extracurricular music education. In addition to being active in different committees and associations at university, state and national level, he also works as reviewer and juror as member to appointment and accreditation commissions and is the degree program coordinator for the Master’s degree program in “Inclusive Music Education/Community Music” which is unique in Europe. His artistic work as a musician and ensemble director is documented on more than 45 CDs and DVDs. Together with renowned artists, he gave performances at international classical and jazz music festivals, was the founder of the Uni Big Band Augsburg and led it for 12 years. In addition, Daniel Mark Eberhard was artistic director of a live production of the German TV broadcaster ZDF and he is active as endorsement artist for several global instrument manufacturers. His academic, artistic and educational work has been honored with several awards, most recently the Uniservitate Global Award 2022, the Bavarian State Foundation's Culture Prize 2022 and the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2023. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education since October 2023.
