The former Chair of Social and Health Pedagogy is dedicated to research and teaching on the diverse traditions and understandings within the field of social and health pedagogy. Building on this foundation, current and historical conceptions as well as theoretical approaches to educational practice are examined and conveyed in relation to social and societal issues and developments. The central focus lies particularly on resource-oriented support and the empowerment of individuals within their respective life contexts. Students acquire essential qualifications for professional practice in the various fields of social and health pedagogy.
Despite the dissolution of the former chair, ongoing research activities continue within this area.
