Field of research: Applied Mathematics

Applied Mathematics develops mathematical solution strategies for problems and questions in all scientific fields, the industry and other areas of society. The mathematical analysis of a problem usually leads to the development and implementation of efficient algorithms; these deliver numerical results to the original questions. Furthermore, mathematical structures that have their origins in applications are investigated with the aim of developing mathematics further in general.

Chair of Computational Science

The main focus of the Chair of Mathematics - Computational Science at the KU Eichstätt is on very flexibly defined applications of harmonic analysis as well as functional analysis. This includes image processing and image analysis as well as the development of data analysis based on time-frequency analysis.
