Research field: Environment and sustainability

Sustainability

Sustainability is firmly established as an interdisciplinary research topic in all faculties at KU.

The complex interrelationships and challenges that arise between humans and their environment are addressed, and findings from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences are combined.

Research on sustainability at KU contributes to gaining knowledge for sustainable development and thus supports an environmentally and socially compatible transformation of society, the Great Transformation.
