Source module, target module, white list

Source module

The achievements listed in the transcripts of records with which you submit credit transfer request are referred to as "source modules" in the crediting process at the KU. Such proof usually consists of a certificate for a module within a transcript of records in the case of recognition of academic achievements and another verifiable document in the case of recognition of skills acquired outside the higher educational sector.

Target module

The module to which credit is recognized or transferred is referred to as the "target module". All modules of the degree program that are listed in the relevant examination regulations and in any associated required elective catalogs can be credited to.

Whitelist

Combinations of source module and target module for which recognition has already been approved can be placed on a white list by the responsible board of examiners. A white list is valid within a degree program. As long as your desired combination for credit transfer is on a white list, this means that requests for the same combination no longer have to be formally checked and decided on again, but are automatically forwarded for corresponding crediting in KU.Campus. This usually results in significantly shorter processing times.
