Interdisciplinary Research Seminar on Quantitative Methods

The theme of the research seminar is the application of quantitative research methods in the fields of education, sociology, psychology, and educational science.

The event is hosted by Prof. Dr. Stefanie Eifler (Sociology and Empirical Social Research), Dr. Valérie Berner (Developmental and Educational Psychology), Jun.-Prof. Dr. Barbara Lenzgeiger (Junior Professorship for Primary Education and Didactics), Prof. Dr. Julia Dietrich (Empirical Educational Research), and Prof. Dr. Eric Richter (School Pedagogy). It is aimed at students, doctoral candidates, and colleagues of the KU.

Participants can acquire knowledge about applications of such methods from different disciplinary perspectives and become familiar with substantive issues in the respective fields.

During the event, current research works from these fields will be presented and discussed. Presenters include external guests and members of the working groups involved in the seminar (see overview below).

Contributions can either be a specialist lecture reporting the research results of completed studies or a workshop presentation showcasing the current status of an ongoing project.
