Vita

Florian Richter is a Postdoc at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Previously, he held a one-year interim research professorship on the societal implications and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence at the Technical University of Ingolstadt, where he also worked as a Postdoc for two and a half years. Earlier, he was a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) and taught courses in philosophy, ethics, posthumanism, and technology ethics. 

He studied philosophy, history, and politics at the University of Stuttgart (M.A.) and at the TU Darmstadt (Ph.D. in Philosophy). He was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh.

Research interests

Florian Richterʼs main research fields are the philosophy and ethics of technology, particularly the ethics of artificial intelligence. In addition to that, he also deals with political philosophy and neuroethics.
