The 2024 Edition of our Summer School is designed to educate, inspire, and generate dialogue on an urgent need in business and society – Responsible Innovation. This exciting Summer School for Master’s students and advanced Bachelor’s students includes a rich range of topics and course modules – from Responsible Innovation to Corporate Social Responsibility, from Transformative Service Innovations to Sustainable Entrepreneurship, from Retail Innovation to the Role of Patents, and Harnessing the Power of AI.
Students can gain up to 10 ECTS credits from 4 Classes. One of these classes is a required capstone module on Responsible Innovation with a business immersion in Munich. Students can choose up to 3 other classes from a list of 6 available classes. Our Summer School format includes networking events with thought leaders, cultural excursions, and time for pause and reflection.
The modules are integrated as compulsory electives in the Master programs at WFI and open to exchange and guest students as well as advanced Bachelor students.
The module is offered as an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP).

4 - AI Revolution: Harnessing the Power & Navigating the Perils - Prof. Andrei Luchici (Romanian-American University, Bucharest, Romania)
5 - Transformative Service Innovations - Prof. Dr. Jens Hogreve and Anabel Walia (WFI)
6 - Retail Innovation - Prof. Gabriele Pizzi (University of Bologna, Bologna Business School, Italy)
7 - Patents, Innovations and Technological Change - Prof. Dr. Reinhard Weber (WFI).
Each module is 2.5 ECTS credits.
The in-person classes as well as the business and cultural excursions of the WFI Summer School will be held during the Gap Week in classes during the Summer Semester. Therefore, regular Summer Semester classes will not be held during that week (July 1 – July 5, 2024).
