More than staying in touch - IN Kontakt e.V.

The non-profit alumni association IN Kontakt e.V. was founded in 1996 and currently has more than 1200 members closely associated with the faculty. The aim of the association is to also integrate students into the WFI family even after successful graduation. IN Kontakt arranges a direct exchange between students and graduates - for example at the event "The first 100 days". At this event, alumni report once a year on their career start and give students tips on their career path. Through the Student-Alumni-Mentorship-Program SAMP, students are assigned a graduate as a mentor who supports them in questions of an academic or private nature.

In addition, IN Kontakt organizes seminars and events, supports teaching at the faculty through donations in kind, and finances the Teaching Award, with which the WFI student council honors one professor and one research assistant each year who have distinguished themselves through very good teaching and correspondingly high scores in the teaching evaluation.
