The KU logo consists of the U-shaped design mark and the lettering "Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt", which is set in small caps in the KU font Minion Pro. The glyphs and character spacing have been carefully adjusted so that both lines are justified despite the different number of characters. The design mark and word mark form an inseparable unit. The logo was precisely defined in terms of color scheme, typography and proportions and can only be used as a fixed data set. It must not be expanded or altered in any way. The logo may be used in the following four color variants:

The KU seal was introduced when the University was founded in 1980. It shows St. Catherine of Alexandria, the patron saint of the KU, who, according to legend, was to be tortured with chariot wheels. This is why the martyr is usually depicted with a wheel (whose spokes can also be found in stylized form in the blue "U" of the KU logo). The KU seal can optionally be used in publications for design purposes. The following rules must be observed:
The correct use of the seal is regulated by the KU seal regulations.
