Department V: Legal Affairs

In the KU Legal Affairs department, lawyers who are qualified to hold the office of a judge (Jurist/in) take care of all legal matters of the University, in particular in the fields of higher educational issues and examination law matters. This also includes legal regulations at the KU, different legal issues concerning University members and legal support for appointment procedures and different projects. As concerns contracts and agreements, the Legal Affairs department mainly focuses on research and development contracts as well as national and international cooperation agreements. We are the responsible contact persons for the processing of student objection procedures and provide advice and support in connection with legal claims.

The manager of the Senate is also a member of the KU Legal Affairs department.
