Learning workshop

The Faculty of Religious Education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt has started the religious education learning workshop initiative in the winter semester 2007-08 which is open to all students of the subjects Religious Education and Theology.

The learning workshop has different rooms:

  • The studio (or workshop) provides a wide range of working materials for creative class or seminar preparation.
  • The reading room offers a quiet space where you can delve into the available literature. You can also work in small groups and tutorials. A media station allows you to screen movies.
  • In a (soundproof) music studio you can play music and practice the guitar, the Orff-Schulwerk, a versatile piano (Clavinova - Yamaha) or 2 cajons and bongo drums.
  • In a small tea kitchen, you can take a break and let your thoughts wander over a cup of tea or coffee.
  • The “forum” (seminar room) with its flexible furnishing offers room for 16 people. For different forms of presentation, you can use a whiteboard, flipchart, projector, document camera, as well as a DVD and CD player.
  • A separate “research room” with 4 computer workspaces, printers and scanner allows you to access the internet. However, you also have WiFi connection in all rooms of the learning workshop.

The learning workshop is designed as a place where both students and lecturers can prepare and reflect on religion classes. It is therefore also particularly interesting for all school interns who are currently completing an internship in the subject of religion and who have to prepare classes.
