One research focus is the exegesis of prophetic literature; the focus here is on the Isaiahic text collections "Deutero" and "Trito-Isaiah" and redaction-critical and historical research on the dodecapropheton.

Beyond the framework of teaching, the question of the theologies of the Old Testament forms a significant topic of Old Testament scholarship.
