New coronavirus regulations

As of now, access to the reading rooms is only possible upon presentation of a 3G proof together with your KU card or library card.

In all KU buildings the requirement to wear a medical mask ("surgical mask") applies. Until further notice, it is not necessary to wear a mask in the library when sitting at your workstation.

The access to the reading rooms is only possible for vaccinated, recovered or tested persons (3G rule: geimpft, genesen oder getested = vaccinated, recovered or tested).

A written or electronic proof of a PCR test (taken max. 48 hours prior to submission at the KU) or a PoC antigen test (rapid test in the pharmacy or in a test center; taken max. 24 hours prior to submission at the KU) is considered as appropriate confirmation. You can make proof of your vaccination status or recovery from a COVID-19 infection with the appropriate evidence (preferably QR code as a certificate in the Corona app).

Until further notice, it is not necessary to wear a mask in the library when sitting at a workstation, because currently the workstations can be occupied in such a way that a minimum distance of 1.5 meters can always be ensured. This rule might have to be adapted during the lecture period. When using scanners and copiers, as well as during all movements in the reading room wearing a medical mask is mandatory.

For school students, we recommend voluntary testing or wearing masks even at the workstation.

Furthermore, the current hygiene and distance rules apply, in particular the wearing of medical masks (surgical masks) in all KU buildings and the maintenance of a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to other persons.
