Rules of conduct

We would like to offer all our users a pleasant learning and working atmosphere in the rooms of the library, but for this we also need your support.

Silence is especially important during exam times, so please be considerate of others, set your smartphone and other devices to silent mode and leave the reading rooms for phone calls. For groups who want to study or work together, there are group work rooms.

Please lock your jackets and bags in the lockers provided. Lockers can be used with your library card for one day. You can of course bring your work materials, laptops or your own books to the library. Please use transparent bags or rucksacks to carry them. You are welcome to purchase appropriate plastic bags from us.

If you would like to eat or drink something, please use the facilities outside the reading rooms.

To make sure that other users can also find books and magazines, please put used media back carefully or use our blue or grey book trolleys so that our team can sort the books again.

Working desks are important for all users, so we ask you not to reserve them and to log off when leaving a PC. If you want to use books or working materials in the library for a longer period of time, you can request a reading room locker or a movable storage container.

Even though these rules seem obvious, there are unfortunately always violations. Therefore, please understand that our library team can check compliance and issue instructions at any time.

The "Hausordnung der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt" and the "Allgemeine Benützungsordnung der Bayerischen Staatlichen Bibliotheken" (ABOB) apply.
