The Chair of Economics, esp. Public Finance, offers courses that deal with various areas of economics and tax research. In addition to traditional financial topics, various methods of academic work are also taught.
The courses include “Public Finance and Sustainable Economic Policy”, “Tax Policy”, and “Political Institutions, the Economy, and Financial Markets”. The aim of the courses is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of government activity and to promote an analytical approach to economics.
The chair's research focuses on topics such as international tax policy, corporate taxation and the use of offshore financial centers.
