Vom 16. bis 20. November fand das European Symposium on Aerobiology statt, das von der European Aerobiology Society (EAS) organisiert wird. Thema des Symposiums war „Bioaerosols and Environmental Impacts“. Nachdem die Konferenz ursprünglich in Córdoba in Spanien stattfinden sollte, fand sie als „Virtual Edition“ online statt. 182 TeilnehmerInnen aus 31 Ländern nahmen an Keynotes und 13 verschiedenen Sessions teil.
Im Rahmen des Symposiums fand auch die EAS General Assembly statt, bei der u.a. das neu gewählte EAS Komitee bestätigt wurde, dem für die nächsten zwei Jahre auch Prof. Susanne Jochner-Oette angehören wird. Während des Symposiums ergaben sich interessante Diskussionen und es konnten neue Kooperationen auf den Weg gebracht werden.
Die Arbeitsgruppe der Landschaftsökologie war mit vier Vorträgen und zwei Postern vertreten:
