Prof. Matta’s major research focus includes understanding Consumers’ Inductive and Deductive Inferences, Financial and Physical Well-being, Product Innovation and Growth Strategy, and Branding. His research has been published in top journals in marketing and consumer behavior, including Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science.
Prof. Matta is from India where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad, and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur. His industry experience includes roles in Advertising, Brand Management, and Marketing.
Prof. Matta received his PhD in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, USA, in 2006. From April 2006 to May 2018, he served as faculty at the The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
Prof. Matta has taught classes at WFI as a guest professor, including as Audi guest professor in summer 2012 and summer 2013 and as a guest professor from summer 2014 to summer 2017.
