Last week the chair of service management attended the QUIS 19 conference which brought together the global service research community for days of insightful exchange.
Jannes Marquardt presented his PhD project, supervised by Jens Hogreve, titled "Navigating Tomorrow: Enhancement of Autonomous Service Offerings through Human-Centered Design Elements." The project explores how automated social presence can be evoked in autonomous service offerings to enhance trust in customers.
Marah Blaurock, in tandem with Dr. Ellen Weber Weber from the University of Hohenheim, shared insights from their ongoing project "Investigating the Role of AI Communication Style in Human-AI Collaboration." This research, conducted together with Matthijs Meire, Kristof Coussement, and Marion Büttgen, explores how AI can better collaborate with humans through communication.
The event was not only insightful and sparked reflection on our work through valuable feedback from the community but also filled with interesting conversations and new connections.
