Regional and Urban Economis (jeweils im WS)

This lesson uses standard economic approaches to explain patterns in urban and regional economies. The lesson will give a comprehensive overview of the most important theoretical and empirical approaches in urban and regional economies. We will address such questions as:

Are we able to explain economically the existence, and the size, of cities?
Why are there different growth rates in different regions?
Why are there different unemployment rates?
Why do people migrate between different regions?
