In 2021, the Family-Friendly KU will offer vacation programs during the Pentecost vacations, the fall vacations, and on the Day of Penance and Prayer - if the Corona situation makes it possible. Children of KU students and employees who are between six and twelve years old can participate.
As in the last autumn vacations, we are planning an entertaining program for the children, which - if it is possible due to Corona - can also be booked individually for each day. The vacation program will mainly take place in Eichstätt, but there will be one excursion to Ingolstadt per vacation week. The care will be provided by experienced caregivers from Mobile Familie e.V.
If necessary, care can also be organized for kindergarten children (by babysitters or in small groups).
Registration is now possible for the autumn vacations and the Day of Penance and Prayer. Please klick here.
If you have any questions, you can of course contact the Family-Friendly KU at any time: familie(at)ku.de
The basis for this planning is a survey that the ZFG conducted together with the KU's Women's and Equal Opportunity Officer at the end of January/beginning of February among KU staff and students. The results of this survey are available on the intranet (in German language only).

The KU cooperates with several institutions to assist its members in finding a childcare place. Here you can find a list of these cooperation facilities as well as other childcare facilities at the locations Eichstätt and Ingolstadt. If you have any questions regarding childcare, please contact the ZFG (Veronika Hecht or Eva Vierring).

Subsidy for additional childcare costs for business trips (for female scientists)
Funds from the Female Professors Program can be used to subsidize costs associated with childcare services during business trips or participation in conferences (outside of Eichstätt or Ingolstadt) up to an amount of EUR 600.00 per year. Young female scientists and professors of the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt are eligible to apply.
Further information on how to apply can be found in this leaflet (in German language only).
In the section "I offer ..." KU-students can indicate in which subjects and for which grades and types of schools they would like to offer tutoring or homework support and leave a contact option. Parents can then either contact the students directly and/or create their own entry in the "I am looking for ..." section.
The project is just starting, so there are no or very few entries yet. We would be very happy if the exchange fills up soon and thus many pupils can receive support!
If you have any questions, please contact the ZFG (Dr. Veronika Hecht or Eva Vierring, familie(at)ku.de).
A budget for the creation of childcare services is available for important public university events and conferences that take place at the KU. If you would like to offer childcare during an event, Veronika Hecht (veronika.hecht(at)ku.de, 08421/93-21614) will gladly help you with the organization.
