Support measures for newly appointed female professors

KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt has established measures to help newly appointed female professors get started at our university. These include:

1. Support through teaching assignments

To relieve the burden during the phase of familiarization at the KU, teaching assignment funds are made available. Depending on the size of the teaching load, a reduction of the teaching load by 2 SWS (university faculties) or 4 SWS (university of applied sciences faculties) is possible for one semester. Please note: Due to the special regulations for tenure track professorships, tenure track professors are unfortunately not able to use this measure.

2. Support by student assistants

To support research and teaching activities during the orientation phase at KU, newly appointed female professors are provided with additional funding (i.e., above and beyond the regular adjunct budget) for student assistants.

3. Coaching

To support personal development as a leader in science, we offer the opportunity to participate in one-on-one coaching sessions. Possible are up to 5 sessions with experienced coaches outside KU, which can take place either in person or digitally.

Networking opportunities at the "Meet and Eat"

Once a month, the Women's and Equal Opportunities Officer invites all women's and equal opportunities officers as well as female professors to a "Meet and Eat" in the refectory of KU Eichstätt. For this purpose, a table is reserved in the refectory on the 1st floor from 12.30 p.m. on the following dates.
