Dissertation project

"Labour market access for refugee women - gender equality in the context of welfare state support systems"

The doctoral project analyses how gender equality is interpreted and implemented in the context of welfare state support systems in the area of labour market integration of female refugee migrants. The focus is on the situation of refugee women, as they are confronted with specific access barriers. This is an empirical study from two perspectives: On the one hand, qualitative interviews are conducted with refugee women and, on the other hand, with actors of welfare state assistance systems. The aim is to gain empirical insights into discrimination processes, supportive and inhibiting structures on the labour market and concepts of justice in the context of flight.
