KU Summer School - Campus Eichstätt

July 12 – August 06, 2021 (virtual program)

The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt kindly invites you to the 37th International Summer School. The program is intended for students in the areas of German studies and social sciences, but also for professionals and anyone who wants to learn the German language and culture. We offer courses for beginners with no previous German knowledge and students with a basic to intermediate knowledge of German (up to B2 .

Due to the pandemic the program of the KU Summer School 2021 consists of intensive German lessons in the afternoon (UTC+2) so that students from differenet time zones can easily attend the program.

Course dates

Class  start: Monday, July 12, 2021

Class end: Friday, August 06, 2021

Classroom hours

  • 80 hrs intensive German
  • 20 hrs interactivities and project work

ECTS Credits

up to 5 ECTS credits/ 6 US credits

Successful and regular participation is confirmed at the end of the course by a certificate and an official Transcript of Records. Please arrange academic recognition with your home university BEFORE starting the course.

Scholarship opportunities

BAYHOST summer school grants - Students and young academics from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine with intermediate German knowledge (at least B1-level) are eligible to apply for the summer school grants for German language in Bavaria.

Students please apply online via Mobility Online: After registration, you will receive an email with an access link to your data. As soon as you have completed this, you can download the Welcome Package with practical information about the KU Summer School. The following documents are required for the application:

  • Short letter of motivation
  • Photo
