What is this German public-private scholarship?

How the scholarship works

The Deutschlandstipendium was launched by the German government in 2011 as a private-public educational partnership. The state and society want to jointly support talented, high-achieving and committed young people on their educational path. The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt participates in this important funding opportunity and relies on your private support for this. Selected students at universities and colleges throughout Germany can receive an income-independent grant of 300 euros per month.

Private sponsors, foundations and companies contribute 150 euros, while the Federal Government contributes the other half. Even with a total of € 1,800, you can give a KU student the support they need for twelve months.  The Deutschlandstipendium has become an important financial support in our society for starting, implementing and completing an educational path and is therefore an important institution for realising educational opportunities. Contribute to this and become an enabler for responsible academic specialists and managers in our society.

Very good academic performance is an important basis for the awarding of scholarships, as is proven voluntary work. In addition, as a third aspect, special attention is paid to the successful support of KU students in overcoming obstacles in their own lives and education. The scholarship holders worthy of support according to the defined criteria are carefully selected by a selection committee and receive the funding within the standard period of study for a maximum of one calendar year. Re-application is possible within the standard period of study.
