Ingolstadt, a city with a rich history and vibrant urban life, is home to the second campus of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU).   • Student residences: Well-equipped rooms in halls of residence are available from € 250 per month. Prices vary depending on the size and fitted equipment of the room.
  • Private accommodation: Apartments or rooms in shared flats are an alternative. Rents in private halls of residence and on the free housing market in Ingolstadt start at around € 550 per month, depending on location and facilities.

The costs of living in Ingolstadt are moderate. Students should calculate total monthly costs between € 1,000 and € 1,200 for rent, food, mobility and leisure activities.

Ingolstadt offers a wide range of leisure and recreational activities:

  • Sports and recreation: The Klenzepark and the riverbank of the Danube are ideal for sports, walks and relaxation. The nearby Baggersee lake and the outdoor pool are ideal for swimming in summer.
  • Cultural highlights: The city's sights include the castle Neues Schloss, the church Liebfrauenmünster and the church Asamkirche Maria de Victoria. There are also museums such as the German Museum of Medical History or the Audi Forum.
  • Events: A variety of festivals throughout the year invite you to celebrate together and meet new people. Ingolstadt offers a wide range of varied events, including the Audi Summer Concerts, the Festival of Cultures and the Volksfest fair in fall.
