Formal requirements for scientific work

Process

Application process and documents

Please first inform yourself about the fields of competence of the chair. Insofar as a focus or a material covered in the LSR lectures arouses particular interest, please contact Ms. Franziska Steiger (Franziska.Steiger@ku.de). In this context, please send the completed information form for Bachelor's or Master's theses as well as your current curriculum vitae in tabular form to Ms Steiger. The template for this (Bachelor's thesis, Master's thesis) can be found further down the page under "Downloads".

Thesis in cooperation with a company

For Bachelor's and Master's theses with own topics in cooperation with practical companies, a three-page exposé must also be submitted. This serves as a basis for decision-making for supervision.

Content of the exposé:

  • Problem
  • Concrete research question
  • Relevance of the work
  • Contribution to research
  • Theoretical basis
  • Research methodology
  • Literature

A corresponding template, as well as details (Expose) can be found further down the page under "Downloads".
