Student Organizations at WFI

Student organizations brighten up everyday life at the university and offer students space for involvement and activities. Whether in environment or society, on campus or in the city - use your free time to be active with fellow students in one of the numerous student organizations or to make new contacts there. There is a suitable organization for all interests:

Aureo-Danubia - Catholic Student Fraternity

Aureo

The K.D.St.V. Aureo-Danubia is a Catholic, non-defeating and color-bearing student fraternity and has been a member of the Cartellverband der katholischen deutschen Studentenverbindungen, the CV, since its foundation in 2004. This consists of 131 fraternities throughout Germany with more than 32,000 members, making it the largest student and academic association in Europe. Aureo-Danubia sees itself as a life association of both professionally and socially committed fraternity brothers. In the old tradition, which goes back to the beginnings of the university system, we wear gold-fringed ribbons in the colors gold-red-blue.

Aventin-Gesellschaft

aventin

We, the Aventin Society of Ingolstadt, are a non-fraternal, non-color-bearing student fraternity of the WFI School of Management. As a society, we do not pursue any political, religious, or ideological goals. The guiding principle of the Aventin Society is friendship for life. Being an integral part of the Aventin Society offers the opportunity to grow as a personality, to take on responsibility, to complete an unforgettable course of study with exciting personalities and to make deep friendships for life. As a relatively young student fraternity, which can look back on a 20-year history, we currently have almost 65 members. We see the Aventin Society as something intergenerational, as our members represent all age groups and the young students benefit from the experience of the older ones and are in constant contact with them. As part of this family, our brothers, whether young or old, support the exchange with like-minded people.

empowerIN - the diverse network

Logo_empowerIN

In March 2021, a new organization called "empowerIN - the diverse network" was founded among WFI students, which is part of the alumni network IN Kontakt e.V. empowerIN aims to form a network for students and WFI stakeholders with diverse backgrounds. The concepts of diversity, equality, inclusion and tolerance will be promoted in the organization's activities by holding events and workshops and by advocating for these goals in everyday student life, in lectures and in faculty committees.

The group aims to raise awareness of issues of inequality of opportunity based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, social origin, disability, and appearance and their intersections, as well as other issues related to diversity. Through training, issue-specific events, and education via social media, the organization aims to empower individuals inside and outside the organization. empowerIN is led by an all-female team of spokespeople and has flat hierarchies that enable democratic decision-making and reflect the organization's values of equality and transparency.
