Dear prospective students,
Dear partners in research and teaching,
We are very pleased about your interest in our Faculty. We - the Ingolstadt School of Management Ingolstadt (WFI) would like to use this opportunity to tell you a bit more about us.
Why study at WFI?
WFI is one of eight faculties of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. It is not only among the youngest but, with only around 1000 enrolled students, also among the smallest faculties of business administration in Germany. The excellent student-teacher ratio of 11:1 (eleven students to one lecturer) enables us to treat each student as an individual and to encourage their individual interests and talents. The close contact among students as well as students and lecturers contributes greatly to what we call the WFI spirit. This spirit not only enlivens our academic work, but rather everything else that is a part of studying with us. Prominent among these activities is a membership in one of our many student initiatives and organizations, among them the WFI Consulting Cup, DenkNachhaltig (Think sustainably) or the legendary WFI Summer Challenge.
Good cooperation, however, does not have to stop at the WFI doors. In view of current global economic challenges, we want to enable you as a future leader to take on management responsibility for your entrepreneurial thinking. That is why we were the first management faculty in Germany to incorporate business ethics into our curriculum. In our various courses on business ethics and sustainable business, you will get to know the ecological and social challenges that businesses face and develop your own problem-solving approach.
Profit from our international network - spend a semester abroad
As faculty of the KU, we are a part of a global network of Catholic universities. For you this means that you can profit from one or more semesters at one of our renowned international partner universities. The overall majority of our students (up to 90 percent) makes use of this opportunity. The semesters abroad are firmly incorporated in the structure of our degree programs, which means that you do not have to choose between this valuable international experience and finishing your degree program on schedule. Even so, to us, internationality is far more than a semester abroad: At WFI, some courses are held in English, you will learn an additional business language and have the chance to attend lectures by internationally renowned guest lecturers. At WFI, you will study alongside international students and in an international atmosphere at the Ingolstadt campus.
Profit from our contacts with businesses
Application and practical use of your skills is an important part of your studies at WFI. We cooperate closely with a choice group of business partners. Companies frequently present themselves in talks or fairs on campus, which gives you a chance to make new contacts. Many of our students seize the chance to build on these contacts by writing their final thesis in cooperation and as part of their employment with a business. This gives you practical skills in addition to your theoretical knowledge and lets you gather insights into corporate practices at an early career stage.
Still undecided? Please feel free to contact us!
If you are interested in a small, practice-oriented faculty that has a strong international focus and which takes its responsibility in society serious, WFI is the right fit for you.
