Veronika Wachslander - WFI Highlight in the field of teaching
Veronika Wachslander, a scientific staff member at the Chair of Business Administration and Business Informatics, was honored for her exceptional commitment to teaching. She received recognition for her teaching in statistics and probability theory, having been honored during her time at the Chair of Statistics and Quantitative Methods. The jury highlighted her ability to convey complex topics clearly and foster a strong sense of community among students. Her goal is to make statistics, often perceived as difficult, more accessible.
Prof. Dr. Heinrich Kuhn - WFI Highlight in the field of research
Prof. Dr. Heinrich Kuhn, holder of the Chair for Supply Chain Management & Operations, was honored for his outstanding contributions to the faculty. His extensive research and ability to integrate it into teaching and student as well as doctoral projects were especially highlighted. Prof. Kuhn shares his passion for logistics with new generations, actively involving students in his research projects.
Martin Mehl - WFI Highlight in the field of Alumni
Martin Mehl was honored for his alumni work as a board member of INKontakt, an association that connects current and former students of the WFI to promote experience sharing and support the professional network of our graduates. With over 1,000 members at the WFI in Ingolstadt, the association has built an extensive network since the 1990s. Mehl, together with four other board members, is committed to ensuring its continued vitality. Alumni work is crucial for universities, and INKontakt plays a vital in fostering these connections.
Philipp Flauger - WFI Highlight in the field of students
Philipp Flauger was honored for his entrepreneurial initiative in founding the start-up MYCO while pursuing his Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTRE) at WFI. Inspired by the lecture "Start-Up-School", he aims to introduce healthy and sustainable meat alternatives to the market. His team focuses on developing mycelium technologies to create delicious, healthy, and sustainable meat substitute products.
Prof. Dr. Alexander Danzer - WFI Highlight in the field of teaching and self-administration
WFI Highlight for Prof. Dr. Alexander Danzer recognized for his outstanding contributions to teaching and administration, particularly for the introduction and advancement of the 'Sustainability in Business and Economics' and 'Business and Psychology' programs, alongside the creation of three new certificate programs, namely 'Sustainability in Business', 'Digitalization in Business', and the 'WFI Consulting Badge'. These initiatives are designed to enable students to better prepare for societal changes and professional challenges.
Diana Stommel - WFI Highlight in the field of student representation
Diana Stommel was recognized for her notable commitment to student representation and involvement in student organizations. She plays a supportive role in shaping student life and organizing events such as Freshman Week and the WFI Stammtisch. Diana represents student interests in the Faculty Council, various committees, and the Student Congress, ensuring that the voices of her fellow students are heard and well represented.
