Teaching Fundamental Theology

Teaching content

An integrative fundamental theology has to be both at the same time: an internal fundamental science and a theological science of justification. In the sense of an elementary internal basic doctrine, the central topics for the Christian religion are dealt with, namely the question of religion and God, the theology of faith and revelation, the message of Jesus and the church's self-image as well as non-Christian world religions and forms of religious fundamentalism.

In the sense of a theological science of justification, the aim is to justify the issues central to Christianity before the forum of reason. To this end, the foundations of the Christian faith are examined for their philosophical and historical or hermeneutical plausibility and objections raised against the Christian faith are critically reflected upon.
